Digital Locker Account – Government Organised Cloud Based Secured Storage Platform
Digilocker is also known as digital locker. It is the initiative taken by the PM MR. Narendra Modi to fulfill the dream of Digital India. This service is operated by central government of India. This scheme is launched under pradhan mantri digilocker yojana.
It is the personal space on cloud given to the people to store their personal documents online like government agencies, education certificates, PAN card, driving license, vehicle ownership documents and some other documents.
1GB space is provided which was initially 10 MB to a person to keep his documents online . It is his personal account authenticated to the respected person. Users need to show their aadhar card details to use digital locker.

Now facility is also available for the students of ICSE for keeping their certificates of grades XIth and XIIth and sharing them with the agencies. Kotak mahindra Bank also avail this facility for their customers to use their services like net banking, mobile banking etc.
Various hospitals like Tata memorial hospital is projected to provide this facility for their patients to keep their record so that they can directly posses them at that time they need. We can say it is an important step taken by the centre government to make India digitally strong. It is help ful to storage of document safely.

Different sections in Digi Locker
The digolocker account contains the following sections which divides the space in following manner:-
The first section is My certificates which contains different section in which first one is Digital documents and another one is uploaded documents.
Digital Documents contains the documents which are issued by government departments .
Uploaded Documents consists of the documents uploaded by the user.
My profile contains the details of the user as same as in user’s aaddhar card.
My Issuer displays the basic details of issuer and documents which are issued to the user.
My Requester section contains the details of the requesters and documents which are requested from the user.
The remaining section is known as Directories which shows list of registered issuers and requesters.
Working of Digilocker
The working of digilocker is through mobile number and aadhar card. To take advantage of the digital Locker the user should have adhaar card and linked mobile number with his aadhar card. It is helpful to the user for the security purpose.
When user proceed to get document from the digilocker then he get one time password on the mobile number which is linked with adhhar card and the only after entering that OTP user verification is done. And respected user get his documents, reports, certificates from the digi locker accounts.

Open the official website to sign in the digilocker account.
Click on the “sign up now” button in the below section of the website.
Now user automatically switch over to the next page on which “sign up with mobile number” dialog box appear.
Enter your mobile number and click on “continue” button.
After entering the mobile number the user get One Time Password i.e OTP for verification or authentication of the mobile number.
In next opened page user ask to select username and password. After selecting username or password the digilocker account has been created.
